Applying for the Small Business Investment Grant
This guide covers the dump trailer bought July 23, the mini skid steer bought July 26, and the work truck bought August 14. Enter the receipt amounts and the calculator will show the maximum request if all three are accepted.
The dump trailer and mini skid steer are straightforward equipment candidates. The work truck needs careful treatment: the published rules exclude personal and passenger vehicles, except specialty vehicles. List its real make, model and business setup, then let Innovation PEI classify it.

The grant is 15 percent of accepted costs to a maximum of $3,750. If Innovation PEI excludes the truck, remove its cost before calculating the expected grant.
Red Earth was incorporated in 2026. Change this only if another related application exists.

SkillsPEI support and the separate website and sign application cover different costs. If any program is paying part of the trailer, skid steer or truck, change this answer and disclose it.
Have each full receipt or invoice and matching proof of payment ready. The vendor, date, item and total must be readable. The program requires individual receipts of at least $50.
Read the declarations, complete the CAPTCHA yourself, and choose Preview. The application must be submitted by Brandon or Becky.

After you submit
Innovation PEI will identify which assets it accepts. Keep each invoice and matching proof of payment. Only one claim can be made for the application.
The current program year ends March 31, 2027. The application deadline is March 31, 2027, and the payment claim deadline is May 31, 2027.
