Applying for the Small Business Assistance grant
Most of the application is written out below, ready to copy. The blue boxes are the details only you can fill in.
Read each answer before you use it, since the application goes in under your name. Innovation PEI decides who qualifies and how much.
Nothing is owed to Red Isle Web when the quote is issued. Don't sign, pay or have the website started until you have written approval from Innovation PEI.
What to have beside you
- The store's PEI business registration certificate.
- The names of the owners and the share each one owns.
- This year's sales so far, and your best guess for the full year.
- The quote PDF from Levi's email, numbered 2026-Q08, saved on the phone or computer you apply from.

Type the name exactly as it appears on your PEI business registration certificate. Google lists the store as Sleep Factory PEI and Yellow Pages as The Sleep Factory, so check which one is registered.
The applicant should be an owner of the business. If the store is registered to Thomas, he should apply instead, using his own name, email and answers throughout.
Enter the business mailing address. If the store's mail goes to the store, use 25001 PE-2, Kensington, C0B 1M0.
Choose the true answer. Add the second address only if it is different.
Leave blank unless one applies.
Kensington is in Prince County. Pick the option in the dropdown that matches.
Enter the web address the store already owns. The project description below explains that the current page was never finished.

If the question is worded as more than one year in business, the answer is Yes.
Choose what the registration certificate says: sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation.
Enter each owner and the percentage they own. The percentages have to add up to 100.
The nine-digit CRA business number, if the store has one. This is not the same as the PEI registration number.
Read it over first. Change anything that is not right, like the year the store opened or the comfort exchange terms.
Answer Yes if the store is your main income. If it isn't, the program also accepts a business with at least one employee working 560 hours or more a year, and the form will ask about that.
Enter the number of people who work at the store, not counting the owners.
Enter this year's sales so far, then your best estimate for the full year.
Change this to Yes only if the store regularly sells or ships to customers off the Island.
Answer truthfully. If the store has had Innovation PEI money for a website or anything else in the last two years, text Levi before you submit.
Under Professional Planning, check Website Development and E-Commerce. Leave the Marketing and Promotion (New Business) boxes unchecked, because that section is for businesses in their first year.
A decision takes at least two weeks and usually a call or meeting, so this leaves room. It has to be after the day you apply. If Innovation PEI suggests a different date, use theirs.
The final claim is due within 60 days after the approved end date.

This is half of the $1,500 website. The changes and the optional social package are on the quote so everything is in one place, but they are not part of the request. The two amounts add up to the $2,150 total, which the form checks. Innovation PEI decides who qualifies and the final amount.

Read the declarations and complete the CAPTCHA yourself, then choose Preview. The application is in your name and has to be submitted by you.

Check the registered name, the owners, both sales figures, the three long answers, the three cost rows, the $2,150 total, the $750 request and the uploaded quote. Then submit, and forward the confirmation email to Levi.
After you submit
Forward the confirmation email to Levi. Someone from Innovation PEI will usually call or meet with you before they decide, and a decision takes at least two weeks. If a few weeks go by with nothing, phone them at 902-368-6300.
Once you have the written approval, send it to Levi and the website work starts. You pay the $1,500 once the site is live and you're happy with it, then claim your half back with the invoice, proof of payment and the website address. The claim is due within 60 days after the approved end date.
